too mundane to be humane; art of being proud

Updated: Dec 13, 2021

Hi love,

Yes you, the person reading this. I know you've been holding it up buried deep inside your chest, hiding from anyone and everyone. I don't have the scantiest sense about how hard it must have been striving all those horrible battles alone, you've been working on yourself but it only feels like you're lessening, doesn't it? I know people are kicking you when you are an inch close to the edge, I know things aren't working out as you intended. I know you feel anxious, feeble, and hollow deep down your heart and you sit there wishing to hear those four magical words, "I'm proud of you" for coming this far from someone but then you realize you're all alone, on your own. It's okay if no one else recounts, tell yourself you are proud of you and keep up the good work. You may laugh but it works, trust me, later you're gonna thank yourself for doing this ghastly thing. Keep doing everything that is in your power, keep working hard, be you. Whatever wars you've been fighting in silence, be strong and don't give up, you will overcome all that you're facing now. I know you want me to say that it will all be over soon but dear, I can't tell you that, I don't wanna keep you in dark and give you false hope. Just know that all the things you've been going through, it's only preparing you for what's next to come, the bigger battles of life. I know you are incredibly strong and compassionate and you can boot anything and everything that gets thrown at you.

It's okay to be proud of yourself because no one will ever tell you enough, and life can be suffocating sometimes, it can get you down, but will you push yourself through and keep going for me, please?

Stop giving yourself excuses to stay stuck. GROW!

People will never notice that you've been sterling, they'll only care about what you didn't do. Even if it's best for you.

It's the same if we see otherwise. We usually neglect taking time to actually get to know someone; their back story, their failures, and their triumphs. Each of us had fought our own battles. We might not have the slightest idea about what someone had been through, yet, some people can genuinely sense and feel those emotions behind those scars. Although, most of us still judge and mistreat others. For the rest of us, it seems easier to bear all resentment rather than letting them go and love one another. Sometimes we don’t know that someone has already reached the edge until it’s too late. So go and express yourself, tell them how proud you've been of the person they are trying to become. Tell them that you are thankful to be in their lives and wherever their journey will take them, you will continually be proud of them, no matter what.

So, if you haven't heard it yet, here I'm telling you that I'm proud of you, i believe in you and there's no end to it. After everything you have been through lately, you still come out smiling and you make me so

proud. You may have your bad days but I know you're stronger than you think you are and I love you and I’m so so so very proud of you. If you were to be a tree, you would be a live oak, you’ve been through many storms yet you stand pretty and strong.

Everyone has it hard, everyone has it different. Don't give that “you haven't been in my shoes” crap because well you haven’t been in theirs either.

Tell yourself that you're proud of yourself because people won't tell you that, instead they'll be like "Oh poor soul, come let me hurt you even more"

Yikes. That’s enough love for today.
